Healthcare Services
We have identified certain niches in the healthcare services sector that will benefit from the changes as a result of the Affordable Care Act, and are actively pursuing investment strategies for:
  • Healthcare Services - multi-specialty clinics, ACO's sponsored by hospitals with large Medicaid concentrations, treatment of multiple chronic conditions in outpatients settings and Patient Centered Medical Homes, Population Health Management and Supply Chain companies with good devices spend and clinical evidence based data, and surgery-centers
  • Business Process Outsourcing Companies, including tele-health and revenue cycle management 

Residential and Commercial Real Estate
Ascendant invests in properties, primarily single family homes, in the US.  Properties require little to no rehab.  Preferred niches in the commercial space are multifamily properties and Medical Office Buildings.

Ascendant has a portfolio of hard money loans secured by real estate.  Preferred areas of interest are TX, MD, NH, GA, VA, and Costa Rica.  For borrowers with real estate collateral seeking a quick financing solution and flexible terms, we can close a loan within two weeks. Loans vary from US$50,000 to US$3 million, based on a conservative LTV.  The term ranges from 6 months to 3 years.

Committed Fund
We have a dedicated fund to provide private equity:
  • Ascendant will draw on its fund, and
  • We will participate in larger transactions with institutional investors
